"The Dragon and the Freckles Princess" is Mamoru Hosoda's latest animated feature film three years after "Mirai" in 2018. It tells the story of a 17-year-old female high school student Ling, whose mother died in an accident when she was young. She lives with her father in a small rural town with fewer and fewer people. One day, she learns about the online virtual world "U" and joins "U" under the pseudonym Bell, and gradually learns about the wonderful story of the mysterious dragon hidden in "U".

The original work, script and director of the animated feature film "The Dragon and the Freckles Princess" are all by Mamoru Hosoda.
