"Batman" wins Korean box office championship, no local films among the top three

The American film "Batman" was released in South Korea yesterday and won the box office championship with nearly 200,000 viewers. According to the latest box office data released by the Korean Film Council today, "Batman" attracted 192,342 viewers in South Korea yesterday, ranking first in South Korea's single-day box office list.

"Uncharted" ranked second on the box office list yesterday with 27,212 viewers, and the Japanese animated film "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" ranked third with 13,868 viewers.

The new Batman movie is directed by Matt Reeves and stars Robert Pattinson (Batman), Zoe Kravitz (Catwoman), Jeffrey Wright (Commissioner Gordon), Colin Farrell (Penguin), etc. The film focuses on Bruce Wayne's second year as Batman. Everyone is still afraid of this new legend, and Batman has to expose the deep corruption in Gotham through murders one by one.

"The Batman" will be released in mainland China on March 18 and in North America on March 4.
