Paramount+ has released the official trailer for the live-action Halo series, which will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ on March 24. The two-minute trailer gives fans a glimpse into the series' characters, overall narrative direction, and production values. The trailer largely sets up the events of the show, showing humanity's difficult struggle to resist the terrifying Covenant Empire. The Master Chief, his Spartan allies, and the UNSC Marines all battle against Covenant forces - both Elites and Jackals - as they attack human settlements. The trailer also briefly shows the Covenant's oracle leader Cortana, a mysterious human character who seems to be working with the Covenants against humanity. We also see the Master Chief interacting with the Forerunner technology, saying that he felt something and when he interacted with it, it "felt different." Plot-wise, it looks like the story will focus on the Master Chief and the UNSC trying to reach one of the Precursor Halo Rings that was used to stop a flood thousands of years ago. On the way, they'll undoubtedly battle Covenant forces, and possibly the woman they're working with. Unlike the novels, the Halo TV series will be set in a separate "Silver Timeline," very similar to the core Halo series, but will depart from the main story of the series in ways both big and small.
