•The story of "Kite" tells that in the 1980s, after graduating from an industrial high school, Yasuo Ichikawa went to work in a transportation company. At the age of 25, he married the war orphan Misako. Three years later, he gave birth to a son, Asahi, and the family lived a joyful and happy life.

When Asahi was three years old, his mother Misako was crushed to death by a wooden box in order to protect her son. This joy was broken by the sudden tragedy. As a clumsy man with low education, who loves smoking and drinking and can't take care of children, Yasuno, who misses Misako, raised his son clumsily.
