The sequel to the classic childhood animation "Go Boy", the promotional video of CCTV's 52-episode annual animation series "New Go Boy" was recently announced. The animation has not yet been scheduled, and is expected to be broadcast in 2022. Promotional video of "New Go Boy": Sun Xiaosong, the screenwriter of the cartoon "Go Boy", had previously stated that the animation had been submitted for review and hoped that the specific broadcast time could be announced as soon as possible. "New Go Boy" tells the story of a young Go player Jiang Liuer who, in the turbulent Ming Dynasty, has to participate as a Go player in a desperate battle between the Ming Emperor and King You for the world in order to maintain the stability of the country and protect the people from the ravages of war. This is a cartoon about the youth, passion, inspiration and love of chess players and warriors. The whole story is set against the backdrop of the chess world and martial arts of the Ming Dynasty, and uses exaggerated animation elements to show the indomitable fighting spirit of chess players and warriors in the Go and martial arts arenas of the Ming Dynasty.
