Henry Cavill: I'm ready to return as Superman

Henry Cavill, the star of Man of Steel, recently spoke about the idea of reprising his role, which he wants to bring back to life in Man of Steel. Superman is an important part of all DC Comics stories, but unfortunately, Cavill has unofficially left the role in a way.

With the departures of Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck, Joss Whedon's misconduct, Ray Fisher's unfair treatment, and the cancellation of Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke, Cavill left the role of Superman, and he has always been open to playing Superman again.

Now that Cavill has been able to solidify his presence outside of DC with roles in Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Miss Holmes: The Missing Marquis, and The Witcher, he seems willing to give Superman a second chance. When asked in an interview if he still has the suit, he responded, "I still have the suit, the cape is sitting in my closet. Just in case, I do! I do! I'm ready and waiting for the call. There are still a lot of stories for me to tell as Superman, and I'd definitely love to do it if the opportunity arose."

Cavill went on to talk about what it means to play the role, "I haven't worn the Superman suit in a long time, and I look back on it and think what an opportunity this was. Even if I quit acting tomorrow and went off to live on a yacht or a motorboat, I could still look back and say I was there in a cape, jumping around and bringing some joy to some people."
