"Spider-Man: No Return" is a big hit at the box office, Sony's final revenue is expected to exceed 600 million

The global box office of Spider-Man: No Homecoming exceeded $1 billion in the first weekend of its release, becoming the first film to return to the $1 billion box office club during the epidemic. It also became the 49th film in film history to exceed $1 billion. According to a new report, Sony Pictures can currently make at least $242 million in net profit from the $1.057 billion box office of Spider-Man: No Homecoming. If the estimated box office of Spider-Man: No Homecoming reaches $1.75 billion, Sony will make a net profit of $610 million, which will create a record in the history of Sony Pictures.

Sony Pictures' highest net profits in recent years include Spider-Man: Homecoming (US$200 million), Spider-Man: Far From Home (US$339 million), and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (US$305.7 million).

As part of Sony and Marvel's renegotiation of a new agreement after the expiration of the five-film Spider-Man agreement, Marvel's parent company Disney agreed to provide 25% of the budget for the third Spider-Man standalone film, estimated at $152.5 million according to Deadline. Last week, Sony Entertainment Vice Chairman Amy Pascal and Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed that the two studios are actively discussing a new Spider-Man movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
