According to foreign media Gamespot, the current Spider-Man actor Tom Holland said that he plans to temporarily retire from the screen to focus on starting a family and participating in projects outside of Hollywood. The 25-year-old Tom Holland said in an exclusive interview with People magazine: " I have been focusing on my acting career for the past six years. I want to take a break, focus on starting a family, and think about what I want to do outside of the movie world. " Holland said he's excited to be a father one day and if he could have a career outside of acting, he'd probably be a school teacher. Tom Holland's latest movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home, is now in theaters and is expected to make a ton of money. Holland thanked Sony and Marvel for giving him the job and he doesn't want to take the jersey off - although he admits it might be time to do so. "I don't want to say goodbye to Spider-Man - but I feel like we might be ready to say goodbye to Spider-Man, and I don't want to stop the next young guy who deserves the job," Holland said. Sony producer Amy Pascal recently said that a new Spider-Man trilogy with Holland could be in the works, but importantly, no deal has been reached, so it's not certain. Regardless, Holland said he'd like to see the Spider-Man movies become more diverse when it comes to the main characters. "Maybe you'll see Spider-Gwen or Spider-Woman one day," he said. "We've had three versions of Spider-Man in a row, and we're all the same. It would be nice to see something different." As for the issue of suspending his filming, Holland has not done so yet. The new game adaptation "Uncharted" starring Holland and Mark Wahlberg will be released in the United States on February 18, 2022. |
