'The Sixth Sense' star wants to star in live-action 'Legend of Zelda' movie

Many Hollywood stars want to star in the live-action "The Legend of Zelda" movie, and Haley Joel Osment, who once co-starred with Bruce Willis in the horror movie "The Sixth Sense", is one of them.

Osment was on the IGN Arcade series, reviewing movies like The Sixth Sense and talking about his most recent film Blink Twice. However, as part of the show, he also played a little bit of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It was at this time that he asked IGN, "Are they going to make a movie out of The Legend of Zelda?" When IGN told him that yes, a live-action movie was in the works and asked him if he wanted to be in it, Osment said yes without hesitation.

“Oh, I was in the race, and they knew I was in the race. Link was like 37 when he did this! 17, 37? As a kid, I thought, ‘Obviously they’re going to make Ocarina of Time into a movie soon, and the story is all written for you!’ And you think, ‘That’s going to be very challenging to make into a compelling two-hour movie.’”

As for which Zelda stories he'd like to see in film, Osmond said, "Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are my own Star Wars trilogy."

Nintendo and Sony Pictures originally announced the live-action Legend of Zelda film in November 2023, with Wes Ball, director of the Planet of the Apes and Maze Runner film series, directing, and Avi Arad and Shigeru Miyamoto serving as producers.

Haley Joel Osment also starred in the sex comedy film "Sex Education"
