No Time to Die was Daniel Craig's last time playing 007, and after that, everyone is speculating on who will be the next 007. Although there is a lot of speculation, no one has been confirmed yet. When asked if a woman should play the next Bond, Craig said it would be a disservice to the actresses. “There should be better roles for women and actors of color,” Craig told RadioTimes. “Why have a woman play James Bond when there should be a role just as good as James Bond but for a woman?” Craig's statement echoes what long-time 007 filmmaker Barbar Broccoli said in 2020. At the time, Barbar said: "James Bond can be any color, but he must be a man. I believe we should create new roles for women. I am not interested in having a woman play a male role. I think women are much more interesting than 007." From this perspective, No Time to Die will have a female agent (Lashana Lynch) who is not James Bond. "No Time to Die" is scheduled to be released in China on October 29th. |
