Netflix and WWE team up to launch interactive movie Escape from the Undertaker

WWE is bringing back the Undertaker, a professional wrestler who has retired for a year. The league is teaming up with Netflix to launch an interactive film that will allow viewers to control The New Day and try to escape from the clutches of The Undertaker.

The entire movie setting is very similar to "Resident Evil", with "New Day" forced into a haunted house full of traps controlled by demons and "The Undertaker". Details about the interactive mechanics are currently unclear, but it is very likely that the audience will help "New Day" overcome each trap by solving puzzles and making choices, and further understand this terrifying mansion.

Why The Undertaker is going after The New Day is unclear. They haven't had any WWE storylines involving The Undertaker so far. But, maybe retirement really made The Undertaker nervous. Maybe he hates positive energy. Whatever the case, he seems to be into bloody murder in The Escaped Undertaker.

This is one of the few WWE projects currently in production at Netflix. Official description: "In this interactive film, WWE Superstar, The Undertaker, has set a trap for The New Day at his mansion. What they don't know is that The Undertaker's mansion is a spooky haunted house filled with supernatural challenges. It's up to the audience to decide the fate of these three poor souls as they try to survive The Undertaker's wrath."

"Escape from the Undertaker" will be the first time that The New Day will appear in a WWE production, but it won't be the first time for The Undertaker. He has appeared in various WWE Studios movies, including The Flintstones and Scooby-Doo crossovers, and he even played a zombie penguin in Surf's Up 2.

The Undertaker will be available on Netflix on October 5.
