Starring Kanna Hashimoto! The live-action movie of Yowamushi Pedal is set to be released on August 14

The live-action movie of "Yowamushi Pedal", a famous manga about bicycle racing based on the work of Japanese manga artist Watanabe Wataru, was scheduled today, January 18, and will be released on August 14, 2020. The two male and one female protagonists were announced at the same time, and the national goddess Kanna Hashimoto will lead the starring role, so stay tuned.

Yowamushi Pedal tells the story of the protagonist Onoda Sakamichi, a freshman at Chiba Prefectural Sohoku High School, who is an otaku who loves animation, games and Akihabara. He originally planned to join the animation research club after entering high school. However, he later met Imaizumi Shunsuke, who was also a freshman and was active in major bicycle competitions in junior high school. One day during training, he saw Onoda Sakamichi riding a bicycle up a steep slope, and his belief was shaken.

The male lead of the live-action movie of "Yowamushi Pedal" announced today, Sakamichi Onoda, will be played by Ren Nagase; Shunsuke Imaizumi will be played by Kentaro Ito; and the female lead Kansaki Kan will be played by the national goddess Kanna Hashimoto.
