The Lord of the Rings TV series is for all ages: no violence or sex scenes like Game of Thrones

The most expensive TV series in history, Amazon's version of "The Lord of the Rings", will be aired on September 2 this year. Recently, the creator said that the audience of "The Lord of the Rings" TV series is all ages and there is no violence and sex scenes like "Game of Thrones".

Patrick McKay, the creator of the TV series "The Lord of the Rings", promised that this series will not be "the second "Game of Thrones"" and will not have the level of violence and sex in "Game of Thrones". Instead, it is designed for people of all ages and can be watched by children as young as 11.

Set in the Second Age, thousands of years before the film adaptations of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, The Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Rings takes audiences back to a time when powerful magic was formed, kingdoms rose and fell, humble heroes were tested, hope hung on a thread, and Tolkien's greatest villain threatened to bring darkness to the world. Starting in a time of relative peace, the series follows a group of new and old faces as they face the resurgence of evil in Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of Lindon, the capital of the Elf, to the breathtaking Empire of Númenor and the farthest reaches of the map, the legacies of these kingdoms and characters live on.

It is reported that the cost of the first season of "The Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Rings" will be a staggering 465 million US dollars (about 3 billion yuan), making it the most expensive TV series ever. And this is only the cost of one season. It is currently planned to shoot five seasons in New Zealand.
