Michael Williams dies at 54

Michael Williams, an African-American actor in the United States, has passed away at the age of 54. Michael Williams has starred in many movies and TV series, including "Assassin's Creed", "The Gambler", "The Wire", etc., and has been nominated for five Emmy Awards. Michael Williams is also the actor of the character "Irishman" in EA's "Battlefield 4" and "Battlefield 2042".

According to the New York Post, Williams was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment yesterday, and drug paraphernalia was reportedly found at the scene, suggesting that he may have died of a drug overdose.

US police revealed there were no signs of foul play or forced entry at the scene, and the "apartment was said to be in order."

Williams, perhaps best known for his role as Omar Little on HBO's The Wire, spoke with NPR in 2016 about his struggles with addiction, including during the filming of The Wire, which led him to a church in New Jersey in hopes of getting the help he needed.

Williams also played Albert White in Boardwalk Empire and Jack Gee in Queen of the Blues, and had supporting roles in The Road, Inherent Vice, The Night of the Missing, Gone Baby Gone, and 12 Years a Slave.

Williams was born on November 22, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York. Williams' mother is still alive.
