The manga of the same name by Hamaoka Kenji, which was serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion, was made into a TV anime. It was broadcast as part of the late-night variety show Wonderful on TBS. It was also broadcast under a different title in Asian countries such as Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The original work contained many parodies of real people, but some of the content was changed or deleted when it was made into an anime. Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku - Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku - Reviews and Recommendations

Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku is a comedy anime that aired in 1998, depicting the daily life of a very unique family living in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture. It is based on a manga of the same name by Kenji Hamaoka, serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion. When it was made into an anime, it was aired on the late-night variety show Wonderful on TBS, and was also aired under a different title in Asian countries such as Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

The central character of this anime is a second-grade boy named Ozawaki Kotetsu. Kotetsu is the most foolish boy in Urayasu, and his only redeeming quality is his energy. At first, he is a bully at school, but gradually he becomes a leader in his class. The slapstick comedy that unfolds with Kotetsu's family and friends is one of the charms of this anime.

The story of the anime depicts the chaos caused by Kotetsu's family, and how Kotetsu forms the "Kotetsu Gang" and plays various games with them. The original work contained many parodies of real people, but some of the content was changed or removed when it was made into an anime. Also, the episodes that were not broadcast due to the Wakayama Poison Curry Incident in 1998 were included in the final volume of the video that was released later.

The cast is filled with unique voice actors, including Rie Iwatsubo as Kotetsu Osawagi and Hatch, and Takashi Matsuyama as Daitetsu Osawagi. The director is Heitaro Daichi, the character designer is Masayuki Otochi, the music is by Harukichi Yamamoto, and the animation was produced by Studio Deen. The opening themes are "Natsu no Maboroshi" by SHEEP and "I'll" by Dir en grey.

Besides Kotetsu, the other main characters include Nishikawa Noriko, Doitsu Jin, Suzuki Fugo, Kikuchi Akane, and Ueda Nobuhiko. Nishikawa Noriko is a tough girl who transferred from Kansai and is Kotetsu's rival. Doitsu Jin is a boy who lives in extreme poverty and has a strong obsession with money, but has a kind heart. Suzuki Fugo is a glutton who is always eating, and his school bag has been modified into a refrigerator. Kikuchi Akane is an idol in class and a rich young lady, but she can also be short-tempered. Ueda Nobuhiko is an honor student who brings Kotetsu and his friends together, and is Kotetsu's oldest friend.

Although Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku was broadcast for a short period of 33 episodes, it gained many fans with its unique gags and charming characters. In particular, Kotetsu's lively appearance and his slapstick comedy with his family and friends are never boring to watch. You can also see the efforts of the production team, such as the ingenuity used to animate the parodies of the original work and the video recording of episodes that were not broadcast.

The reason I recommend this anime is, above all, its unique gags and the charm of its characters. This anime depicts the daily lives of a unique cast of characters, centered around Kotetsu, and it's impossible not to laugh when watching it. You can also see the effort put into the production team, such as the ingenuity used to animate the parodies of the original work and the video recording of episodes that weren't broadcast. This is a must-watch for people who like comedy anime or who have read the original Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku work.

Furthermore, this anime was broadcast in Asia and was loved by many people. Therefore, it has many fans overseas. If you are a fan of Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku, I would recommend you watch this anime and rediscover the unique humor and charm of the characters. Also, even if you are watching it for the first time, you will surely feel the charm of this anime.

"Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku" is a gag anime that was broadcast for a short period of time, but it has gained many fans due to its unique gags and the charm of its characters. Please watch this anime and enjoy the daily lives of the unique characters, centered around Kotetsu.
