■ Story

Shirobon and Aobon, who were patrolling the universe as the space police "Bida Cop", encountered the planet Border being attacked by the space pirate group "Devil Vader" and went to help. The Devil Vaders were after the treasure "Bida Calibur" on the planet Border, but just before the invasion, the King of Border divided the Bida Calibur into 12 stones called "Chrismond" and scattered them on various planets in various eras, thus protecting the Bida Calibur. (The King of Border himself also went missing at that time.)
However, Devil Vader begins to aim to collect all 12 Crismonds and revive the Bida Calibur. Shirobon and the Bida Cops set up a base on the planet Border and travel to various time zones using a time-space transfer device, aiming to search for the Border King and retrieve the Crismonds before Devil Vader does.

The appeal and evaluation of "B B-Daman Bakugaiden V - Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden Victory"

"B B-Daman Bakugaiden V - Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden Victory" is an anime series that aired on TV Asahi from 1999 to 2000, and is known as a spin-off of the Bomberman series. This work depicts the story of Shirobon, a member of the space police "B-Dacopp", and his friends fighting against the space pirate group "Devil Vader". Below, we will explain in detail the appeal and evaluation of this work.

The appeal of the story

The story of this series depicts epic adventures and battles set in space. The story revolves around the battle for the Border Planet's treasure, "Bida Calibur," and thrillingly depicts the process by which Shirobon and the other Bida Cops travel through time and space to collect the Crismonds. Each episode visits a different planet and era, allowing viewers to experience a new worldview and drawing them into the story. The mystery of the disappearance of the Border King also adds depth to the story, drawing viewers' interest.

Particularly impressive is the growth and change of each character. The worries and growth of each character are carefully depicted, such as White Bon's energy and courage, Black Bon's emotional transformation from a lone wolf to working with his friends, Red Bon's sense of responsibility as a princess and resolve as a warrior, Yellow Bon's humor and bravery, Blue Bon's growth due to his timidity, and Green Bon's lack of loyalty and composure. The growth of these characters enriches the story and moves the viewer.

Character Appeal

Each character in this work is unique and leaves a strong impression on the viewer. The main character, Shirobon, is charmingly energetic and playful, making him easy for the viewer to relate to. Additionally, the change in Blackbon's pride as a lone wolf and his desire to cooperate with his friends deeply moves the viewer. The individual personalities of each character, such as Redbon's sense of responsibility as a princess and his resolve as a warrior, Yellowbon's humor and bravery, Bluebon's growth from timidity, and Greenbon's lack of loyalty and composure, all enrich the story.

Kurobon's character is particularly one of the show's charms. Although he is an elite who graduated at the top of his class from the Bida Cop Training School, he has a background of choosing to be a lone wolf. While Bida Master points out that his lone wolf personality means he lacks the "spirit to cooperate with his comrades," the scene in which, through the Bida Calibur incident, he finally admits that "it's not so bad to cooperate with your comrades" deeply moves viewers.

Visual and performance appeal

The visuals and direction of this work are also a big attraction. The animation produced by Madhouse beautifully depicts a spectacular world view set in space. In particular, the different landscapes and cultures of each planet and era are carefully drawn in detail, which has the power to draw the viewer in. In addition, the B-Daman battle scenes are dynamic and powerful, exciting the viewer.

The character designs are also attractive, and the designs by Takahiro Umehara bring out the individuality of each character. In particular, the lively White Bon, the cool Black Bon, the elegance of Red Bon, the humor of Yellow Bon, the timidity of Blue Bon, and the loyalty of Green Bon are all conveyed through the visuals. The mechanical designs are also by Takahiro Yamada and Eiji Yasuhiko, and the B-Daman machines and Devil Vader mecha are realistically drawn.

The appeal of music

The music in this series is also a big attraction. The opening themes "GO GO! Bakugaiden ~Ver. Victory~" and "Bokura no VICTORY", and the ending themes "Tomodachi ga Takaramono ~Fantasy Version~" and "Kachi ni Ikouze, Amano-kun!" leave a strong impression on viewers. In particular, the opening theme "GO GO! Bakugaiden ~Ver. Victory~" features the powerful singing voice of Maki Rinko with Dynamite Yo, which adds excitement to the adventures and battles in the story. In addition, the ending theme "Tomodachi ga Takaramono ~Fantasy Version~" features Maki Rinko's gentle singing voice, symbolizing the friendship and growth of the characters.
