One day, Futaba of the Yoshinaga family wins the jackpot in a lottery at the shopping district. However, what she gets is a gargoyle, a stone dog statue. The gargoyle suddenly starts talking and claims to be the "gatekeeper of the Yoshinaga family." Futaba's brother, Kazumi, is also surprised. This encounter marks the start of a slapstick comedy that involves the Yoshinaga family and the gargoyle, and involves the whole town.

Gargoyle's first priority is to protect the Yoshinaga family, and he always upholds the principle of "exclusively defensive defense." Futaba-chan is lively and boyish, and is good at pro wrestling. Kaitou Momoiro is a handsome magician phantom thief who works as a righteous thief. His father is the reliable breadwinner of the Yoshinaga family, and a salesman for a trading company. His mother is a kind mother to the Yoshinaga family, and a big fan of Kaitou Momoiro. Togu Amane is the second son of the head of the Togu Group, and the president of Toguu Electronics.
