"Dream Master" is a TV anime series that aired in 2006, originally a manga by Riichi Ueshiba that was published in Kodansha's Afternoon KC. In our daily lives, many mysterious incidents suddenly occur... Behind such incidents, there is always someone's "dream". In this world, a "dream" is something that is strongly imagined... Sometimes, they cross the boundary from the mind to the real world. Dreams that cross the boundary become "nightmares" and cause disaster. "Dream users" including Mishima Touko and Rinko. They use their own unique magic to calm the rampaging "nightmares", find the owner of the "dream", and return it to its original "dream".

Commentary

A series of strange incidents suddenly occur... they are caused by the "dreams" people imagined. The "dream users" including Mishima Touko and Rinko use their own unique sorcery to confront the "nightmares" that have become reality! While retaining the unique flavor of the original manga by Ueshiba Riichi, director Yamazaki Kazuo has animated it into an action-packed TV series with self-contained episodes.

    17 years old. A Sunday Star dream user, owner of the Doyusai Toy Shop. Despite his age, he doesn't care about his appearance and is a self-proclaimed "recluse." He always looks sleepy, but when it comes to work, he is very determined. He is an outstanding dream user and a leader.
  • Rinko Mishima
    10 years old. A dream user of the Kayo Star, and Touko's younger sister. Even though she is an elementary school student, she is quite mature mentally and calls herself a "super elementary school student." However, she is the most sane (sensible) of the dream users. She is skilled at controlling the fire spirit.
  • Misako Mishima
    29 years old. She is the aunt of the Mishima sisters. She does not play a prominent role, but instead acts as a backup for Touko and the others as they fight against nightmares. She hates Tachibana Hajime, but does she actually have feelings for him?
  • Hajime Tachibana
    29 years old. A Friday Star dream user. Although he appears good-looking, he is a pervert with abnormal tastes in clothing and appearance. Misako always scolds him for this, and he has feelings for Rinko.
