Main Characters

Details of the main characters are as follows:

Yuto

Yuto is a modern (21st century) elementary school student who is on a trip along the Silk Road with his parents when he gets caught up in a battle between time travelers from the 24th century at Lake Qinghai in China. Because he traveled through time without preparation, he suddenly becomes a baby, a young man, or an old man. He is confused at first, but his natural tendency to not dwell on the past brings him back to life. He has always wondered who Chun-Li is and where she is from.

Chun-Li

Chun-Li is a mysterious phantom girl who suddenly appears in front of Yuto due to the miracle of the Snow Daruma statue, and travels through time with Yuto. Only Yuto, who was there at the time of the miracle, can see her, but there are people who can hear her voice or sense her presence. She has lost most of her memories and does not know who she is or where she is, but she remembers that she has met Yuto before. Despite the state she is in, she is carefree and optimistic.

Time Traveler (Barbarella)

The time travelers aboard the Barbarella are:

  • Ramone - An agent who travels through time to search for the Snow Daruma statue, hired by the wealthy Barbara, who controls the world economy in the 24th century. He acts with his partner Arumajiro. He is quick-witted and usually does his job well, but he is a good-natured person and easily falls in love with women, which often leads to him making mistakes.
  • Armadillo - Ramone's partner, who always says "Maji". He is an intelligent armadillo born from 23rd century technology (there are many intelligent animals living in the 24th century). He was a pet abandoned by his owner, but since being picked up by Ramone, he has been helping him with his work. However, when he gets distracted by food, he neglects his work.
  • Gina - The only daughter of Barbara, a wealthy woman in the 24th century. Wanting to get away from her overprotective mother, she joins Ramone and his friends on their time travels. She is independent and reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility and drive. In some ways, she is the most sensible of the group, which is full of eccentric characters. Although her mothers are mortal rivals, her relationship with her childhood friend Andy is neither good nor bad.
  • Barbarella & Barney - One of the world's first time machines. Ramone, Almajiro, and Gina are on board. Navigated by "Barney," a computer with human-like emotions, they travel back and forth between "Time Roads" and time. Yuto, who is caught up in a fight over the Yuki Daruma statue, is the first to board and travel through time.

Time Traveler (Chang-Chi)

The time travelers aboard the Chang-Chi are:

  • Lin - A twin sister who is an agent of the 24th century, hired by the wealthy Chang who controls the world economy, and travels through time to find the statue of Master Xue Bodhidharma. Their special skill is that they always speak in perfect harmony, but they hate being called "Linlan" by others. Their only flaw is that they sometimes get too absorbed in their work.
  • Lan - Twin sisters who are agents of the 24th century, hired by the wealthy Chang, who controls the world economy, are traveling through time to find the statue of Master Xue Bodhidharma. Their special skill is that they always speak in perfect harmony, but they hate being called "Ling Lan" by others. Their only flaw is that they sometimes get too absorbed in their work.
  • Andy - The only son of the 24th century billionaire Chang. Like Gina, he joined the time travel on his own accord, but his reason for doing so is that he is a Silk Road enthusiast who wants to see the Silk Road of the past with his own eyes. Perhaps because he was raised as a spoiled brat, he often speaks and acts in a way that makes it difficult to read the mood. He is not the most active type, but he is kind at heart.
  • Chang-Chi & Charlie - One of the world's first time machines. Carried by Ling-Lang and Andy. Navigated by the sentient computer "Charlie", they travel back and forth between "Time Lords" through time. Neither the Barbarella nor the Chang-Chi can travel in time and space at the same time, and they have the ability to float on land (they do not have the ability to fly).

Main Robot Items

The main robots and items that appear in this work are as follows:

Statue of Master Yukitatsumaro

The Snow Bodhidharma statue is a hidden treasure of the Silk Road that Barbara and Chang are searching for. It was named after an ordinary Buddha statue that was transformed by a snowstorm in the Pamir Plateau in 644. Its "substance" is a rainbow of light, and it is more accurate to call it a "mysterious existence." When the light that suddenly appeared in each era entered some object, it transformed into the Snow Bodhidharma statue and caused various miracles (phenomena).

Hunty

Hanchi is a mysterious horse that suddenly appears in various times and places along the Silk Road. The Hanchi that appear across hundreds of years are apparently not the same horse, but the details are unknown. However, all Hanchis from each era seem to know Yuto and Chun-Li. Chun-Li also says that she has memories (?) of flying in the sky on a Hanchi before.
