Commentary

The Arms Rally is an unprecedented race in which the Brown Oil Company has decided to give up its oil fields on the mainland, and will present their ownership to the winner of a long-distance car race. The mainland has been in a civil war between the Kuomintang Army and the People's Revolutionary Army for over 100 years, and has become a dangerous area where bandits and thieves roam freely. For this reason, participating vehicles are allowed to be armed, and are encouraged to destroy their competitors. This race is not just a car race, but a major combat race. Shumari (Masao Harimoto Pekarski)

It is a military version of the "Osumi" sub-fuel furnace, created through a joint public-private development plan, and although it is now considered outdated, it is a large, external furnace that is highly reliable. The existence of No. 1 Sub-fuel Furnace supports the operation of the Murakumo.
