Senki Zesshou Symphogear G Original Short Episode "Senki Zesshou-Shinanai Symphogear" Review and Recommendation

Overview

"Senki Zesshō Symphogear G Original Short Episode 'Senki Zesshō Shinai Symphogear'" is an OVA released by King Records on February 5, 2014. This short episode is just five minutes long, but it condenses the charm of the Symphogear series. It is directed by Katsumi Ono, animated by Satelight, and based on the original work by Noriyasu Agematsu and Akifumi Kaneko.

■ Story

The three girls, Tsubasa Kazanari, Chris Yukine, and Hibiki Tachibana, are at the mercy of fate, but they don the FG-type Kaiten special equipment costumes "Symphogear" and, after many battles, gather at the decisive battle ground. Their enemies are Ka Dingir, who is targeting the "Moon," a giant surveillance device that jams human mutual understanding, and Fine, the shrine maiden who is plotting to destroy the Moon. However, the destruction of the Moon will cause the collapse of the gravitational balance, bringing about a disaster on a planetary scale. The girls face the threat of the "Luna Attack" and sing their hearts out in a passionate song.

The story begins again in a world overlooked by a crescent moon after a fierce battle. The Japanese government's Symphogear System has been partially disclosed as a measure against the certified singular disaster Noise, but information about the users is kept secret. While their daily lives are guaranteed, the Symphogear users who participate in the Japan-US joint research project live with their own dreams and worries. Meanwhile, an order is given to transport the perfect relic "Sacrist S" to the US military's Iwakuni base, but a new enemy approaches on a dark and stormy night. As they confront the hordes of Noise rampaging from the Babylonian treasure house, Hibiki Tachibana's singing voice roars, and a new situation opens up.
