■ Main Characters

Sasaki Haise: The mentor of the Quinx squad.
He lives together with his squad members and tries to lead them, but he is bossed around by the problem children. He has a gentle personality, is friendly, and has a strong sense of responsibility. He has lost his memory of the past 20 years, and looks up to his superiors Akira Mado and Arima like parents.
Kusaka Urie: Leader of the Quinx squad. A scholarship student who graduated from the academy early. He has a keen observational eye and excellent fighting sense.
He is not cooperative and prefers acting alone, looking down on the other members of his squad. He is not very emotional, but his jealousy is stronger than most. His father was a former special agent who died in the line of duty while confronting the One-Eyed Owl. In order to get revenge, he is determined to be promoted to S3 squad, the same squad his father was a member of.
A young man with shark-like teeth. He has an obsession with money for some reason, and agreed to the Quinx procedure in exchange for payment.
He has a simple but very honest personality, and when he is given a responsible job, he works hard. Contrary to his bad-boy appearance and rough behavior, he also has a caring side for his friends. He doesn't get along with Urie, who has a completely opposite personality, and they often clash.
An investigator who calls Toru Mutsuki "Sensei" and adores him. His parents were killed by "Ghouls" and he was taken in by the Academy.
He is earnest but shy, and doesn't like the sight of blood. Although he works sincerely on his investigations, he has not seen much progress. Since his Quinx treatment, he has hardly seen any improvement in his muscle strength or agility compared to the other squad members, and it seems that his progress has stagnated. As a result of the treatment, he always hides his right eye with an eyepatch. His Rc level, a cell found in large quantities in the bodies of "ghouls," is the lowest in the squad, and he is unable to produce kagune.
Yonebayashi Saiko A NEET investigator who shuts herself away in the room she was given and lives a leisurely and comfortable life.
He is by far the most suitable quinx therapist within the team, but he has no motivation because he never intended to become an investigator. He has poor time management skills, and even his team leader, Urie, has given up on letting him participate in investigative activities. His hobbies include anime, games, manga, and collecting figurines.
She is concerned about being a little chubby.

■ Review

Tokyo Ghoul:re Season 2 is the final chapter of the anime series based on the manga by Sui Ishida, and will draw viewers into a deeper story. Throughout the series, the tension and conflict between humans and ghouls has been heightened, and in this final chapter, the story will move towards a climax.

The appeal of this series lies in its deep characterization. The protagonist, Kaneki Ken, or Sasaki Haise as he is known, has a strong inner conflict that viewers can empathize with. His journey to find who he is despite losing his memories symbolizes questions of humanity and identity. Hanae Natsuki's voice acting perfectly expresses Kaneki's struggles and growth, leaving a deep impression on viewers.

The members of the Quinx Squad also have their own unique personalities, adding depth to the story. Each character's background and growth are carefully depicted, including Urie Kusaka's cold-heartedness and desire for revenge, Shirazu Ginshi's obsession with money and compassion for his teammates, Mutsuki Tohru's shyness and hard work, and Yonebayashi Saiko's lethargy and passion for her hobbies. The way these characters influence each other and grow is moving to the viewer.

The technical skills of Studio Pierrot, the animation studio, are also not to be missed. The intensity of the battle scenes and the background art depicting the dark streets of Tokyo are visually very appealing. In particular, the battle scenes using the ghouls' kagune are visually fascinating, with smooth movements and beautiful colors. Music is also an important element in enhancing the atmosphere of the story, and the background music composed by Yamada Yutaka plays a key role in enhancing the emotions of the viewer.

The theme songs are also an important element in enhancing the atmosphere of the series. The opening theme "katharsis" has a powerful voice and rhythm by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure, which heightens the tension of the story. Meanwhile, the ending theme "Rakuen no Kimi" has a beautiful melody and lyrics by osterreich, which leave a deep impression on the viewer. These songs help the viewer to become immersed in the story.

However, this series does have some challenges. It is difficult to fit all of the content of the original manga into the anime, so some episodes and character portrayals are omitted. This may leave fans of the original manga feeling unsatisfied. Also, the story develops so quickly that viewers may find it difficult to follow. However, these challenges are made up for by the overall quality of the story and the appeal of the characters.

"Tokyo Ghoul:re Season 2" is an epic tale of conflict and coexistence between humans and ghouls, providing viewers with deep emotions and thoughts. Combining character growth and an exploration of humanity with beautiful animation and music, this series is a must-watch for fans of dark fantasy and psychological drama. As the final chapter, the journey to the story's conclusion will leave a strong impression on viewers.

■Recommendation

There are many reasons why we recommend "Tokyo Ghoul:re Season 2," but the following points in particular can be mentioned:

First, it is a story of deep character portrayal and growth. The inner conflict and growth of each character, including Kaneki Ken, evokes strong empathy from the viewer. In particular, Kaneki's memory loss and search for identity symbolize the problems of humanity and encourage deep reflection in the viewer. In addition, the individuality and growth of the Quinx Squad members also add depth to the story.

Next, there is the beautiful animation and music. Thanks to the technical skills of Studio Pierrot, the power of the battle scenes and the beauty of the background art stand out. In addition, the background music composed by Yutaka Yamada and the theme song by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure and Osterreich are important elements that enhance the atmosphere of the story. These visual and auditory elements help immerse the viewer in the story.

Furthermore, it is an epic tale of the conflict and coexistence between humans and ghouls. Throughout the series, the tension and conflict between humans and ghouls has been depicted, but in this final chapter, it is heightened and the story moves towards a climax. Viewers will be forced to consider questions of humanity and identity, and will be moved by the journey to the end of the story.

Finally, this is a must-watch for fans of dark fantasy and psychological drama. Tokyo Ghoul:re Season 2 is characterized by its dark worldview and deep psychological portrayal, making it a very appealing work for viewers who enjoy these genres. As the final chapter, the journey to the conclusion of the story will leave a strong impression on viewers.

For these reasons, "Tokyo Ghoul:re Season 2" is a must-watch for fans of deep character portrayals and stories of growth, beautiful animation and music, epic stories of conflict and coexistence between humans and ghouls, and dark fantasy and psychological drama. This series will leave viewers deeply moved and thoughtful, and is definitely worth a watch.
