'Deadpool vs. Wolverine' director to make new 'Star Wars' movie starring Gosling

After Shawn Levy, the director of "Stranger Things", "Fucking Player" and "Deadpool vs. Wolverine", has entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe, his next adventure will be the "Star Wars" universe.

Levy will be directing a new Star Wars movie, and Disney Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy recently revealed some details about his film in an interview.

During the interview, Kennedy revealed that Lucasfilm has many upcoming Star Wars projects. Levy's Star Wars will be the next film after The Mandalorian and Googu, starring Ryan Gosling.

According to her, Levy's Star Wars movie will be set 5-6 years after Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker. From this point of view, this is the first Star Wars movie to be launched in the form of a sequel story. In addition, there is a movie starring Rey, starring Daisy Ridley, which will also be launched in the future.

Kathleen Kennedy clarifies she won't retire

In response to media reports, Kathleen Kennedy clarified that she was not retiring as previously reported by the media.

She said: "The truth is, I want to say it loud and clear, I am not retiring. I will never retire from the film industry. I will keep making films until I die. That's the important thing to stress first. I am not retiring."

She then spoke about the "eventual successor" and shared the films she's still making.

Kathleen Kennedy made it clear that she is working on The Mandalorian and Googu movies, and revealed that she is also working with Lucasfilm on Shawn Levy's film.

"I'm working on The Mandalorian right now, and I'm working on the Shawn Levy movie after that. So I'm going to stay at Lucasfilm and work very carefully with Bob and Alan to see who will take over. It's all in the works, and we have every right to announce that at the appropriate time."
