According to The Hollywood Reporter, Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi sequel "Dune 2" earned $46 million in the domestic U.S. box office last weekend and its global box office is currently estimated at $376.5 million.

The first film took in $430 million worldwide, and the second film will easily surpass that number - but according to reports, the film will need to reach $500 million at the box office " to break even ."
