Stephen Chow's film "The God of Cookery" is released today: a 28-year classic work is restored in high definition

Stephen Chow's movie "The God of Cookery" was officially released in mainland China today. This is the first time this classic movie has been released in mainland China in 28 years.

The film was released in 1996. This time the film is being screened in its latest restored version, available in both Mandarin and Cantonese, allowing everyone to relive the classic.

The film is directed by Lee Lik-chi and Stephen Chow, starring Stephen Chow and Karen Mok, with appearances by Ng Man-tat, Stephen Chow, Lau Yi-tat, Nancy Sit, Lee Siu-kee, Kong Xiwen, Tin Kai-man, Au Kam-tong, Law Kar-ying, Christy Chung and Suet Lam.

In 1997, Karen Mok was nominated for Best Actress at the 16th Hong Kong Film Awards and the 34th Taiwan Golden Horse Awards for her performance in the film.

The plot tells the story of Stephen Chow, a well-known food god in the catering industry. He appears to be outstanding in ability, but in fact he is arrogant, incompetent and only interested in profit.

Just overnight, he was framed and replaced by his right-hand man, and immediately fell to the bottom of his life with nothing.

Fortunately, he met Big Sister Turkey (played by Karen Mok) and a group of bosses in Temple Street who had long been in love with him. Stephen Chow also began his road to comeback and made another attack on the throne of "God of Cookery".
