The fourth episode of the Marvel American TV series "Loki" was aired yesterday and received rave reviews, with #Loki# becoming a trending search on Twitter. IGN then released a review of the fourth episode and posted a review video on YouTube. IGN's review video of Loki Episode 4:(Spoiler warning below) In his review, IGN's Siddhant Adlakha wrote, "There are so many great storylines in place, but this episode doesn't quite deliver on these potentially hugely important moments... The show applies smoke and mirrors to its own drama that ultimately obscures the plot's urgency and meaningful character drama." He ultimately gave the episode a score of 5, describing it as "Mediocre": "An episode that was slow-moving and full of Marvel's worst tendencies." The third episode of the show was widely considered the most boring episode to date, but the same reviewer gave it a score of 7. This opinion, which was completely contrary to that of many fans, was opposed by many people. The YouTube video received 1,000 likes and 5,000 dislikes. One fan commented under IGN's review: "The reviewer of this show shouldn't review it because it's clearly not for him. In my opinion, this is the best MCU show on Disney+ so far. WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier come down to seeming similar to Agents of SHIELD to me. Honestly, nothing in those series is better than Agents of SHIELD. Agents of SHIELD even had the best MCU show event so far with Captain America: Civil War and the Hydra reveal." Comments under the YouTube video have played various jokes from the show to express their dissatisfaction. One fan quoted Loki's lines in the show and said: "This bad IGN review is part of the illusion. This is a cruel and well-designed trick: summoning offended people to stimulate comments." Another fan joked: "Anyone who reviews this episode should be 'Pruned'." One fan said he was looking forward to next week's new plot. He said: "This is really a very bad review. "Loki" is not a perfect TV series, but this is really an excellent episode. A key element of storytelling is to let the audience know more than the characters. They did a good job in this episode. Looking forward to next week!" |
