DC's new "Flash" movie may not only feature the Flash as a superhero. The film's director Andy Muschietti posted a picture on social media, suggesting that this very retro Batman suit may appear in the "Flash" independent film starring Ezra Miller. The image may have been cropped, but the logo and chest plate are clearly based on the look from 1992's Batman Returns, starring Michael Keaton. This costume is more organic and textured than the 1989 Batman costume, looking a bit more factory-made, and it also has Art Deco influences, designed to look cleaner and smoother. Interestingly, the neckline also seems to have undergone some modern changes. Until 2005's Batman Begins, the masks worn by Keaton, Val Kilmer, and George Clooney were notorious for having zero range of motion. Keaton couldn't turn his neck when he wanted to look left or right in the film, so he had to turn his whole body, which fans jokingly called the "Keaton Turn." Judging from the appearance of this picture, the new "Flash" movie may feature the multiverse concept mentioned in previous revelations, allowing many new and old superheroes to appear in the film, which is somewhat similar to the setting of the TV version of "The Flash". |
