"Sonic the Hedgehog" is a live-action film adapted from the classic game series of the same name. The film was released in 2020 and tells the story of Sonic coming to Earth, being hunted by Dr. Eggman, played by Jim Carrey, and finally successfully defeating Dr. Eggman and living on Earth with his human friends.

Distributor Paramount Pictures has previously announced that the sequel is scheduled to be released on April 8, 2022.

The game's plot synopsis is also included in the information: "After settling in Green Hill, Sonic is ready for more freedom, and Tom and Maddie agree to leave him alone while they go on vacation.
