According to Deadline, the Sherlock Holmes drama series Baker Street Guerilla was cancelled by Netflix after only one season. Based on the novels by Arthur Conan Doyle, the series is set in Victorian London and follows a gang of street kids as they solve crimes for Dr. Watson and his mysterious business partner, the elusive Sherlock Holmes. As terrifying supernatural powers and dark forces emerge in criminal cases, street teenagers must unite to save London and the world. The series is inspired by Conan Doyle's famous novel "Sherlock Holmes". In the original novel, Holmes has a group of capable street teenagers to collect clues for him. The setting of this drama is what would happen if Holmes was actually just a drug addict and it was the street teenagers who solved all the cases and gave the credit to Holmes. "Baker Street Guerrilla" has a media rating of 60 points and a user rating of 5.1 points on MTC. IGN believes that with so much content to promote, if the TV series is not as popular as "Stranger Things" or "The Witcher", Netflix will not be so tolerant to give them the opportunity to develop. |
