Director James Gunn is very active on social media. He recently took to Twitter to reveal the post-credits scene for the new Suicide Squad movie and explained why he turned down the opportunity to direct the Superman movie. On Twitter, someone asked if there would be a post-credits scene for The Suicide Squad, to which Gunn replied: "One?" This obviously means that the new Suicide Squad movie will have multiple post-credits scenes. Of course, post-credits scenes for superhero movies are now commonplace. The movie version of "Suicide Squad" is part of the "DC Extended Universe", so it may introduce subsequent works, so the post-credits Easter eggs (if they exist) may contain some foreshadowing. When talking about the opportunity to direct a Superman movie, Gunn said he simply preferred Suicide Squad. "Because Suicide Squad interests me more. Just because a character is more famous or more popular doesn't mean I'm more motivated to write and direct it for two-plus years." The new Suicide Squad movie will be released in North American theaters and HBO Max in August. Gunn is also working on a spin-off series Peace Walker starring John Cena. His Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled for 2023, and there is also Guardians of the Galaxy: A Christmas Special in 2022. In addition, he will also be involved in the Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Disneyland. He will be very busy next. |
