On September 26, the official website of A Certain Scientific Railgun confirmed that the third season of the TV animation will be officially broadcast in January 2020, and JCSTAFF will be responsible for the production of the animation. A Certain Scientific Railgun Season 3 Special PV:

A Certain Scientific Railgun is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name, based on the popular character Misaka Mikoto from the light novel A Certain Magical Index written by Kamachi Kazuma. The first season of the anime aired on October 2, 2009, and the second season began airing on April 12, 2013. It tells the story of friends Misaka Mikoto, Hatsuharu Kuri, Shirai Kuroko, etc. in Academy City, which occupies one-third of the western part of Tokyo, has a population of over 2.3 million, and more than 80% of the population is students.

The third season of "A Certain Scientific Railgun" will be officially broadcast in January 2020, so stay tuned.
