Yui Aragaki's first appearance in the Taiga drama "13 People in Kamakura Palace" will be broadcast in 2022

NHK's new Taiga (period) drama "13 People from Kamakura-dono" is confirmed to be broadcast from January to December 2022. Today, on April 15, the official once again announced the new cast. Yui Aragaki will appear in a period drama for the first time, playing the first love of the male protagonist Hojo Yoshitoki (Oguri Shun). Stay tuned.

"13 People of Kamakura-dono" is a Taiga drama produced by NHK TV, written by Koki Mitani and starring Shun Oguri. The drama tells the story of Hojo Yoshitoki, a military commander who was active from the late Heian period to the early Kamakura period.

In the Kamakura period, after Minamoto no Yoritomo died, his son Minamoto no Yoriie began to rebel, which led to the first appearance of the collegial system in Japan. Among the 13 retainers who proposed the collegial system, the youngest was Hojo Yoshitoki (Oguri Shun). This drama focuses on the protagonist Hojo Yoshitoki and depicts his story of advancing step by step until he took control of the shogunate.

·The newly announced cast includes Yui Aragaki as Yae, the first love of Hojo Yoshitoki (Oguri Shun), and Koichi Sato as the dangerous elite of the Bando Samurai Group. · Hirotsuge Kazusa and Toshiyuki Nishida as Emperor Go-Shirakawa. Other leading actors include Yo Oizumi, Eiko Koike, Ken Matsudaira, Jiro Sato, Daishi Nakagawa, Koutarou Koizumi, and more.
