Inside Out 2 is expected to exceed $600 million in global box office in two weeks

Pixar's Inside Out 2 took over the global summer box office with a staggering $295 million this past weekend, becoming the highest-grossing theatrical debut of 2024 so far. As the sequel to the 2015 film, Inside Out 2 is on track to reach a staggering $600 million in its much-anticipated second weekend.

Inside Out 2 grossed $255 million in North America in its first seven days

As of Thursday, the highly anticipated sequel has grossed approximately $470 million worldwide and is expected to add approximately $135 million this weekend, reaching a box office of at least $600 million or even $605 million.

Inside Out 1 opened to $90 million in North America, $65 million less than Inside Out 2 opened last weekend - if you like to adjust your numbers for inflation, based on today's inflation, the first film opened to $119 million in North America, giving the sequel a lead of about $35 million, or nearly 30%.
