According to entertainment media leaker Daniel Richtman, streaming platform Netflix is producing a live-action Pokemon series. Not many details about the series have been revealed, but Richtman gave some premise information, such as the fact that the show will not feature Satoshi or any new characters, but will instead feature Red, the protagonist of the first game. Considering that the protagonist of the first part of the comic book series also has this name, it is not yet clear whether the plot of the series is based on the game or the comics, or is completely original. This isn't the first live-action Pokémon film. A live-action movie adaptation of Detective Pikachu was released in 2019. But this is the first live-action Pokémon TV series. |
