Netflix and Sony Pictures sign exclusive paid licensing agreement

According to new news released by foreign media, Netflix has signed an exclusive paid window licensing agreement with Sony Pictures. This agreement allows Netflix to become the exclusive platform with paid broadcasting rights, including movies such as "Morbius", "Uncharted", and "Spider-Man 3".

The effect of this agreement is that when Sony's films pass the theatrical window period, Netflix can have the paid broadcast rights of these films. The agreement is for 5 years and will take effect from 2022. Netflix has the first choice for film works that Sony is producing or licensing for streaming platforms. In addition, Netflix has signed a premiere agreement with Sony for all original films produced for the live streaming market.

Judging from the current situation, this agreement may give Netflix more advantages in movies.
