The sequel to the action comedy "The Hitman's Bodyguard", "The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard", recently announced a schedule change, from August 20, 2021 to June 16, 2021, in North American theaters.

"The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard" was created by the original team of "The Hitman's Bodyguard" and directed by Patrick Hughes. Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Selma Hayek returned to star, and Antonio Banderas, Frank Grillo, Tom Hopper, Morgan Freeman, Richard E. Grant and others joined in the cast, with a strong cast.

The predecessor, The Hitman's Bodyguard, was released in 2017 and grossed $176 million worldwide at a cost of $30 million, performing well. The sequel tells the story of Darius, a killer played by Jackson, and his wife Sonya, played by Hayek, who are in danger. They encounter a powerful madman played by Antonio Banderas, and the bodyguard Michael played by Reynolds tries to protect them. The film was originally scheduled for August 28, 2020, but was postponed to August 20 this year due to the epidemic. Now it has been announced that it will be released two months earlier.
