Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League will be officially released on HBO Max on March 18 (the release date in China, Japan, and France is yet to be determined). Warner Bros. has also released the main visual effects of the film. In addition, the length of the director's cut of Justice League has also been confirmed to be 4 hours, 1 minute, and 28 seconds.

Justice League was officially announced in October 2014, with Snyder and Terrio writing the screenplay. The film was initially announced as Justice League Part One. Filming officially began on April 11, 2016. Snyder withdrew from post-production on the film on May 22, 2017 due to family reasons, leaving Joss Whedon to replace him and write and direct the additional shoots that Snyder had originally planned.

Many fans believe that one of the reasons for the film's failure is because Joss Whedon modified the script and reshoots, so they launched a petition to ask Warner to release the Snyder Cut of Justice League. It is reported that Joss Whedon's story was completed under the supervision of Chuck, and Warner has no plans to complete the Snyder Cut. Until May 21, 2020, Warner officially announced that Zack Snyder will be responsible for the director's cut of Justice League and it will be available on Warner's streaming platform HBO Max in 2021.
