It was revealed that the characters of "Big Hero 6" will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe

According to an exclusive report from foreign media outlet The Disinsider, some characters from the animated film Big Hero 6 will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as real people. The Disinsider said they are not sure who will be joining the Marvel movie in real life, but at least they can look forward to Baymax and Hiro.

As for the Marvel works that will be added, The Disinsider has heard that the series "Secret Invasion", "Agents of Atlas", and the movie "Doctor Strange" are said to be included, but they cannot be confirmed at this time (considering that the plot of "Doctor Strange 2" involves the multiverse, it is the most likely option).

"Big Hero 6" is adapted from the comic of the same name published by Marvel in 1998. The story takes place in a fictional future hybrid metropolis "Old Jingshan" (a mixture of San Francisco and Tokyo), and mainly tells the story of the inflatable robot Baymax and the genius boy Xiaohong teaming up with their rookie friends to form a super power team to fight against criminal conspiracies.

In 2009, Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment and began to search for works in Marvel comics that were suitable for film adaptation. Director Don Hall found this work in the database. However, "Big Hero 6" was not very popular when it was serialized, and even the staff of Marvel Entertainment did not expect this work to be successful. When Hall first learned about this comic, he was deeply attracted by its title and Japanese elements. After discussing with producer John Lasseter, he decided to make changes to the content and create a script to meet the requirements of Disney animation.

Apart from borrowing Japanese elements, such as the names, experiences, special abilities of the characters, and the joint fight against the enemy, the movie is basically very different from the original manga "Big Hero 6", and everything including the characters have been significantly adapted for the movie.

In 2014, Disney premiered Big Hero 6 on the big screen, which grossed $658 million worldwide and had an 89% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
