"Paranormal Activity 7" is scheduled to be released in March 2022. The director of "Deep Sea Monsters" will direct it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Paranormal Activity 7" will be released in North American theaters on March 4, 2022. The director and screenwriter have been confirmed: it will be directed by Will Eubank, the director of "Deep Blue", and written by Christopher Landon, the screenwriter of "Happy Death Day".

Landon wrote the screenplays for four Paranormal Activity movies before writing and directing the two Happy Death Day movies, and directed the fourth, Paranormal Activity: The Rise of the Paranormal Activity, which was released in 2014. Eubank directed last year's underwater monster movie Deep One, as well as the indie sci-fi films The Signal and Loving.

"Paranormal Activity 7" will be produced by series creator Oren Peli and Blumhouse boss Jason Blum. Although the plot details of the film have not yet been released, The Hollywood Reporter said that it will retain the shooting format of all previous films.

The most recent film in the series was 2015's Paranormal Activity: The Paranormal Activity Dimension, which, despite being the lowest-grossing film in the series, still grossed $78.9 million worldwide and reportedly cost only $10 million to make.

Paranormal Activity 7 is one of the biggest horror franchises set to release new movies in the next few years. Blumhouse will release Halloween: The Killing in October, while the much-anticipated Scream is coming in January 2022. Other horror movies coming later this year include The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saw 9: Spiral, and Candyman.
