A new spin-off of Game of Thrones reveals that another prequel is in development

HBO is working hard on the series "House of the Dragon", a prequel to "Game of Thrones". Now, according to foreign media Variety, HBO is developing a series based on the prequel novel "Tales of Dunk and Egg", which is also a prequel to "Game of Thrones".

"The Tale of Dunk and Egg" tells the story 90 years before "Game of Thrones", telling the story of Aegon V Targaryen as a squire knight following a tall hedge knight named Duncan in his youth.

The project is still in its early stages and has not yet found a screenwriter or actor, but sources say it is an important priority for HBO. Martin and HBO declined to respond to the report.

In recent years, HBO has been developing several Game of Thrones spin-off series projects, the most advanced of which is House of the Dragon, which has been booked for one season and will start filming this year and air the year after. Adapted from George R. R. Martin's book Fire and Blood, it focuses on the story of the "Dragon House" Targaryen family, and will involve their famous bloody civil war "A Dance with the Dragons", which takes place about 300 years before the story of Game of Thrones.
