Writer and showrunner Jon Favreau has confirmed that The Mandalorian Season 4 is already in production, even though Season 3 has yet to air. Since its debut in 2019, The Mandalorian has maintained a strong momentum, which has led to the series's acclaimed second season and highly anticipated third season, and also allowed writer Jon Favreau and producer Dave Filoni to continue to expand The Mandalorian universe. In an interview with Cinema Blend at Star Wars Celebration, Jon Favreau discussed the advantages of making a TV series over a movie, mentioning not having to rush Din's story into a specific time window, and having a lot of freedom to include multiple chapters. “For television, we’re lucky that we don’t have to rush things into an hour and a half or two hours. We take our time to tell the stories. So now, when Dave Filoni is doing Ahsoka, that means I’m writing for The Mandalorian Season 4. It becomes — how do I put it — more precise.” |
