According to Deadline today (July 22), the FX "Alien" IP adaptation TV series has started filming in Thailand on July 19. The protagonist of the show is a soldier nicknamed CJ, who will be played by Alex Lawther, a British actor famous for "Fuck the World" and "Black Mirror". According to media reports, due to the strike, American actors from SAG-AFTRA have not yet participated in the production of the show. This includes actor Sidney Chandler. Deadline reporters reported that British actors will be considered in breach of contract if they leave the set in support of the SAG-AFTRA strike. It is worth noting that all the scripts for the show were ready before the WGA protest that began in May. |
