WarnerMedia has provided an update on the investigation into Cyborg actor Ray Fisher. Some new details have emerged, and a former federal judge has been brought in along with an outside law firm to coordinate the entire thing. Reporter Umberto Gonzalez received the statement and tweeted some of the content. Allegedly, there has been numerous back and forths between the actor and the company over how to handle the investigation. In recent days, Ray Fisher has been very adamant that Walter Hamada was part of this investigation. However, Warner Bros. has stated that the bullying Ray Fisher alleged did not occur. In addition to this shocking news, The Wrap also reported that Cyborg has been removed from The Flash, a move that has sparked further conversations between the two parties. "The investigation was conducted by another outside law firm and led by a former federal judge. More than 80 people were interviewed." A Warner spokesperson said: "We have every confidence in the thoroughness and completeness of the report and have taken remedial action. The investigation has concluded and it is time to move on." When The Warp article was published, the Cyborg actor tweeted: "I have not publicly pushed any projects. If Warner Bros. Pictures decides to remove me from The Flash without mentioning it in any way, then it is a result of the Walter Hamada tampering investigation. The idea of canceling, rather than recasting the character of Cyborg was simply to avoid public backlash." "Warner Bros. Pictures' PR team has been working hard to regain control of events since they failed to defeat my investigation with the September 4 article - unsurprisingly, written by the same author." Ray Fisher added: "My team and I remain in advanced conversations with Warner Bros. Pictures on all of these issues, and we intend to follow through with it, whether or not Cyborg is in The Flash. I will keep you informed and thank you for your continued support." |
