Famous movie star Tom Cruise plans to watch Nolan's new film "Oppenheimer" and Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" during the opening week. In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Cruise said: "I want to see Barbie and Oppenheimer. I'm going to see it on the opening weekend. I'm going to see Oppenheimer on Friday and then Barbie on Saturday." He continued: "I grew up watching films on the big screen. That's how I make them and I love the experience; it's immersive and that's important as a community and as an industry. I'll still go to the cinema." Tom Cruise also showed off the tickets he had already bought. On Twitter, he wrote: "This summer, the theaters are full of wonderful movies. Congratulations to Harrison Ford on the 40th anniversary of becoming one of the most iconic characters in history - Indiana Jones." “I love having two movies out at the same time, and nothing is hotter (or pinker) than having Oppenheimer and Barbie out at the same time.” Currently, both films will be released on July 21. Barbie is confirmed to be released simultaneously in the mainland. |
