The movie "Green Knight" is officially rated R for bloody, violent and nudity scenes

The fantasy film "The Green Knight" is directed by David Lowery and produced by A24. Recently, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) said that "The Green Knight" contains violence, sex and nudity, and rated it R. R-rated movies are restricted movies, and those under 17 must be accompanied by their parents or guardians to watch them.

Previous announcement:

The movie "The Green Knight" is based on "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight", which belongs to the legendary series of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. It reflects the ideals of the chivalric system and is the essence of medieval feudal aristocratic culture. Starring Dev Patel, Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton, Barry Keoghan, and Ralph Ineson.

The movie tells the story of a Christmas day when King Arthur holds a banquet. A Green Knight comes to challenge the Knights of the Round Table - who can chop off his head on the spot and receive a chop back from him one year and one day later? Gawain accepts the challenge and chops off the head of the Green Knight, but the latter does not die. After reminding Gawain to find him one year later, he leaves with his head. The next year, Gawain encounters many obstacles in the process of finding the Green Knight, but finally survives.

Previously, "Green Knight" was scheduled to be released in North America on May 29, but was later withdrawn due to the new coronavirus pandemic and has not been rescheduled yet.
