The incident with the same name as Kana Uemura's hit song "The Toilet God" which moved fans and sparked social discussion has recently come to an end. According to the Chiba police in Japan, there have been many cases of toilet thefts in residential areas recently. The male protagonist, whom the police called "The Toilet God Incident", has gone viral.

According to the police, since October 2020, toilets have been stolen in many newly built homes in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, and as many as 18 have been found. The police simply called it the "Toilet God Incident." Of course, the "God" himself is just a thief.

After being arrested, the suspect Takata admitted to the crime of theft and said that his motive was to "sell the toilet to a second-hand store to supplement his family income."
