The star of "Deadpool 3" expressed his welcome to have Taylor Swift join the new film

Ryan Reynolds, star of the "Deadpool" film series, confirmed that although Taylor Swift was not originally one of the planned cast members of "Deadpool 3", he will work hard to make it a reality.

Recently, there have been rumors that the famous American pop musician Taylor Swift will join "Deadpool 3". Because at that time, "Deadpool" Reynolds and "Wolverine" Hugh Jackman announced that the house set used in the movie was the same as Taylor Swift's short film "All Too Well".

Discussing the fan theory, Reynolds said: "If we filmed the next Deadpool in our house, that (house) would be the one used for the set."

While this isn't a confirmation that Swift will be joining the MCU, Reynolds is hopeful she'll appear in the upcoming film, adding: "Are you kidding me? I'd do anything for that lady. She's a genius."

Swift has long been friends with Reynolds and his wife, Lake Lively, and Reynolds told her Sirius XM show this week that for much of her life, her daughter was unaware that the woman who was "like an aunt" to her was actually a global superstar.

He explained: "I think what's exciting for them is that for a long time, they thought of Taylor as just like an aunt, like a friend of mom and dad, very, very close, almost like family."

"Until they went to a concert one day and it was like, 'Ohhhhhhh...'"

In the same interview, Reynolds also said that he had been asking Hugh Jackman to join Deadpool as Wolverine for "six years straight": "Finally it was Hugh who said, 'I think I'm ready to come back.'"

“All we had to do was get producer Kevin Feige to sign off on the idea, which didn’t take long, and here we are.”

The filming of Deadpool 3 has not yet begun, but Shawn Levy will continue to direct the sequel, and Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will be responsible for the screenplay. Some fans are more worried about whether Deadpool will be "harmonized" by Disney, and the screenwriters guarantee that this will not happen.

“Don’t worry about it,” Reese told Den of Geek. “They (Disney/Marvel) are very supportive of it. When it comes to a particular joke, if we cross a line, maybe at some point we’ll hear from them, ‘Maybe we shouldn’t use that joke.’ But I think they’re very supportive of what we’re doing because obviously we’ve been doing our own thing with them for a long time and they’ve seen our success and they’ve had more success. So hopefully it’s a collaboration made in heaven. But we do have their support, which is a great thing.”
