The reboot of Resident Evil has been completed and will be released in September next year

According to the news released on Sony Pictures' official Twitter, the "Resident Evil" reboot movie that started shooting a few months ago has been completed and will be released as planned in 2021.

Sony Pictures announced the news on Twitter and shared a new still that looks like the set of the Resident Evil reboot. In addition to a partition with the movie logo and the names of director Johannes Roberts and photographer Maxime Alexandre, you can also see an old-fashioned TV with snowflakes flashing. I don't know if it is related to the movie itself.

The plot of this rebooted Resident Evil movie seems to be based on the original Capcom game of the same name, and it is reported that the main characters of the series, such as Leon, Chris, Claire and Jill, will also appear in the movie. It is completely different from the past six movies based on the biohazard. Milla Jovovich, who played the role of Alice in the previous movies, is not expected to be involved in any way.

The Resident Evil reboot is set to hit theaters on September 9, 2021.
