JK Rowling tweets: Mourns Dumbledore actor Gambon

Sina Film reported today (September 29) that Irish actor Michael Gambon, who played Dumbledore in the "Harry Potter" movies, has passed away at the age of 82.

J.K. Rowling, the original author of "Harry Potter", tweeted: "Just learned the sad news that Michael Gambon has passed away. I first met him in 1982 in "King Lear". If you told me at the time that that excellent actor would star in anything I wrote, I would think you were crazy. Michael was an outstanding actor and an outstanding person. I really enjoyed working with him, not only in "Harry Potter" but also in "The Casual Vacancy". I extend my deepest condolences to Michael's family and all those who loved him."
