Director Zack Snyder wanted Leonardo DiCaprio to play Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Although "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" directed by Zack Snyder was released in March 2016, his DC series has always been a hot topic. In this movie that puts Superman and Batman on opposite sides, the villain Lex Luthor played by Jesse Eisenberg is quite controversial (some people think that Jesse plays more like a mad scientist than a shrewd businessman).

Recently, Zack Snyder mentioned in an interview that he originally planned to let Leonardo Dicaprio play Luthor. He discussed this matter with Leonardo and got many good ideas.

Excerpts from the interview with Director Zack Snyder:

Although the role of Luthor eventually fell to Jesse, an idea proposed by Leonardo was used by Director Zack Snyder in "Justice League", which is the classic scene of "Superman versus the Justice League".
